⚠️ Burglary Alert – Multiple Incidents Reported in April

Police are urging residents to remain vigilant following five burglary and attempted burglary incidents reported in the area during April.

Recent reports include:

Attempts to force entry via rear doors, windows and garden gates

Glass panels smashed to gain access

Garage break‑ins

Offenders often targeting properties from the rear and making off unseen

Affected streets include: Harrington Terrace, Farm Road, Mintern Close, Farndale Avenue and The Fairway.

Although some attempts were unsuccessful, these incidents show offenders are actively targeting homes in the area.

✅ How to Protect Your Home

Keep doors and windows locked, especially at night and when out.

Ensure side and rear gates are securely fastened.

Consider sensor lighting, CCTV doorbells, or monitored smart cameras.

Keep valuables out of sight and avoid leaving keys near doors or windows.

Report any suspicious activity immediately via 101 or online.

If a crime is in progress, always call 999.

👮 Police Response

Officers are increasing patrols in affected areas and following up all lines of enquiry.
Residents are encouraged to share any CCTV, Ring doorbell footage or information that may assist.
